Payment

Accepted Answer

For commissions under $300, payment is required in full at checkout through my store.
For projects $300 and above, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot. The remaining balance is due after the sketch is approved.
If a payment plan has been discussed and agreed to in writing beforehand, that arrangement will take priority over the standard structure.
Work will not begin until the required payment (or agreed deposit) has been received.

Question 2

Refunds

Accepted Answer

All payments made toward original artwork are non-refundable once work has started, regardless of cancellation reason or communication status. This covers time, materials, and work already completed.
Add-on items (such as prints, cards, or extras) may be eligible for a refund only if production has not yet begun. These requests are reviewed case by case and are not guaranteed.
If production has already started, add-ons are no longer refundable.
If a project is considered abandoned (see below), all payments—including add-ons—are retained.

Question 3

Cancellations

If you decide to cancel after work has begun, any payments made toward the artwork are non-refundable.
If a payment plan is in place, you may still be responsible for any portion of work already completed up to the point of cancellation. I’ll provide a breakdown of progress at that time.
Unstarted add-ons may still qualify for refund eligibility as outlined above.

Question 4

Communication & Abandoned Projects

Accepted Answer

I’ll stay in regular contact throughout your commission and aim to keep everything clear and on track.
If I don’t receive a response for 30 days, I’ll send up to three follow-up messages using at least two contact methods on file.
If there’s still no response after that period, the project will be marked as abandoned.
In that case:
All payments are retained
Work may be paused or discontinued
The finished piece is not guaranteed to be delivered or completed
If contact is re-established later, the project will need to be restarted as a new commission at current pricing.

Question 5

Revisions

Accepted Answer

You’ll receive progress updates during key stages of the artwork.
Each commission includes up to 3 revision rounds. Small adjustments are welcome, but major changes (such as new subjects or composition shifts) may require an additional fee, agreed upon before continuing.
I also aim to respond to revision feedback within a week while changes are in progress.

Question 6

Ownership & Usage Rights

Accepted Answer

Once full payment is received, the original artwork belongs to you for personal use and display.
I may share the finished piece in my portfolio, social media, or promotional materials unless you request otherwise in writing before completion.
For watercolor commissions, I may create and sell prints of the finished artwork unless exclusive rights are requested and agreed upon in advance.
For canvas paintings, your piece remains a one-of-a-kind original—no prints or reproductions will ever be made.
